Pastor

Rev. Micah D. Johnson

Rev. Micah D. Johnson is the newly appointed senior pastor of the Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church. Rev. Johnson is the oldest of 5 children, born and raised in Dallas, TX. He spent most of his childhood in foster care as a result of an abusive father. Pastor J prides himself on being an overcomer in his words God did not allow him to be “conditioned by his condition”.

Although his grandmother introduced him to Christ at an early age he accepted Christ on his own during his early teenage years. Once accepting Christ Micah immediately begin serving in church faithfully as a musician, choir member, and a worship leader. In February of 2001 Rev. Johnson was licensed to preach the gospel by his long time pastor Rev. Dr. J.E. Mitchell, pastor of the Bon Air Missionary Baptist Church. Since then Pastor Johnson has been devoted to the work of his calling. He has served in a variety of roles such Minister of Worship, Youth Pastor, Executive Pastor, and Minister of Pastoral Care.

Rev. Johnson was an I.T. professional by trade and has been for the greater part of 15 years. He is a musician, singer, and a business owner. In August of 2009 he launched his business Divine Purpose Entertainment. Rev. Johnson is also a member of the Ancient Free and Accepted Masons where he serves as the Lodge chaplain of The Sons of Solomon lodge number 410.

As a husband and a father Pastor Johnson believes that the only way to take care of his house is to take care of God’s house (Matt. 6:33). Micah is married to Minister Kristal Mitchel-Johnson and together they are the proud parents of Christian, MyKalah, Jya, and Makenzie.
